Pin is designed to keep your personal information private and on your device. Pin does not require an account and does not use a developer-operated backend, advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or developer-operated analytics.

Information stored on your device

Pin may store the following information locally:

• Pins, countdowns, custom words, flashcards, saved words and quotes
• Travel history and places you choose to save
• Widget, appearance, and app preferences
• Flashcard progress and other app activity needed for features to work
• A local record of your Pin Plus entitlement

This information is stored in Pin’s private app storage and App Group container. The App Group allows Pin and its widget extension to use the same information on your device.

Content you configure may appear on surfaces you select, including Home Screen widgets, Lock Screen widgets, Live Activities, and the Dynamic Island.

Health data

If you grant permission, Pin reads your step count from Apple Health to display progress in the app, widgets, and Live Activities.

Pin:

• Reads only the Health data needed for these features
• Does not write or modify Health data
• Stores limited step-count snapshots locally for displaying your progress
• Does not upload, sell, advertise with, or share your Health data with the developer or data brokers

You can change Pin’s Health permissions at any time through the Health app or iOS Settings.
